Même si les deux termes sont parfois utilisés l’un à la place de l’autre, ils désignent pourtant 2 choses différentes.
Un manager est un responsable d’équipe, désigné par sa hiérarchie pour être le chef de l’équipe. C’est un statut et une position au sein de l’entreprise.
Un leader, est lui reconnu par ses collègues comme étant le responsable de l’équipe, il est celui vers lequel les autres vont se tourner en cas de difficulté et est reconnu pour ses compétences. Il n’est pas forcément désigné et n’a pas forcément un statut hiérarchique supérieur aux autres.
L’idéal au sein d’une équipe est bien sûr que le manager soit également reconnu comme étant le leader.

L’importance du leadership pour la cohésion d’équipe

En entreprise, le travail en équipe est de plus en plus répandu. Il peut toutefois être difficile de construire une équipe de plusieurs experts dans des domaines différents. C’est là que l’importance du leadership apparaît.
Pour faire avancer son équipe, le manager doit faire preuve de plusieurs compétences :
Savoir communiquer. Il est important que vous soyez présent auprès de votre équipe. Chacun doit comprendre clairement le rôle qu’il a au sein d’un projet et c’est le manager qui est en charge de communiquer efficacement au sein de l’équipe.
Être motivé. Si vous manquez de motivation et d’enthousiasme, ne comptez pas sur votre équipe pour en faire preuve. Vous devez gagner la confiance de votre équipe et restez positif en toute circonstance pour booster leur motivation et leur productivité.
Savoir déléguer. N’essayez pas de faire tout de votre côté sans jamais vous reposer sur votre équipe. Il est important que chaque membre de l’équipe fasse preuve d’autonomie et puisse prendre certaines décisions.
Être optimiste. Personne n’a envie de venir travailler chaque matin au sein d’une équipe pessimiste et qui ne s’amuse jamais. En tant que manager, vous avez un rôle important pour créer une bonne ambiance de travail.
